Position Overview
The Project Manager owns delivery of Braden’s client technology projects from kickoff through closeout, with full accountability for scope, schedule, budget, and client communication on every engagement. Projects range from targeted refreshes to multi-site rollouts and span network and connectivity buildouts, Microsoft 365 and cloud migrations, server and infrastructure work, and structured cabling engagements.
The Project Manager writes statements of work and hardware quotes, schedules engineers and field technicians, manages project budgets and resource utilization, and serves as the primary client point of contact for the duration of each project. Success is measured in projects that close on time, on budget, and leave the client satisfied with the delivery experience.
Position Details
- Location: Fishers, IN (hybrid: 4 days in-office, 1 day remote after 90 days)
- Reports to: Operations Manager
- Travel: Occasional travel to client sites
- Full-Time
- Schedule: Monday through Friday
Key Responsibilities
- Own the full lifecycle of assigned projects from kickoff through closeout, including scope definition, schedule, budget, risk, quality, and client acceptance
- Write statements of work and hardware quotes. Craft statements of work and hardware quotes for client engagements, coordinating with sales, engineering, and procurement to validate labor estimates, equipment configurations, and target margin before quotes reach the client
- Serve as the primary client point of contact for the duration of each project, leading status meetings, managing change requests, and translating technical progress into clear updates for both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Schedule engineers and field technicians across the active project portfolio, balancing competing priorities and tracking utilization against billable targets
- Track project financials in real time, including labor hours, expenses, change orders, and margin, and surface variances early enough to act on them rather than report on them
- Maintain complete and accurate project records in Halo PSA, including SOWs, change orders, time entries, status reports, and closeout documentation
- Partner with Client Partners throughout the engagement, keeping them current on delivery status and routing non-project client requests back to them
- Drive risk and issue management proactively, identifying exposure early, documenting mitigation, and escalating to leadership before issues become client problems
- Lead post-implementation handoff to service, support, and account management so clients experience continuity once the project closes
Qualifications
- 5+ years of project management experience in an MSP, IT services, or technology consulting environment, with a track record of leading client-facing technical implementations
- Proficiency with an IT ticketing and project management platform such as ConnectWise Manage/PSA, Autotask, or Halo PSA for project tracking, time entry, and financial reporting
