Job Summary
The Project Manager is a senior member of the Project Management team at K&A, Bangalore, responsible for leading the end-to-end delivery of design projects.
This includes overseeing team and technical management, as well as ensuring effective control of schedules, costs, quality, and risks throughout the project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end design projects, including schedule, cost, quality, risk, team, and client management.
- Develop project management plans covering scope, timelines, budgets, resources, and risk for non-complex projects.
- Define work breakdown structures, project activities, and critical paths.
- Lead project kick-off meetings and ensure stakeholder alignment.
- Oversee design teams across all stages—from concept to construction documentation.
- Coordinate with internal disciplines and external stakeholders to ensure integrated design delivery.
- Manage sub-consultants and procurement inputs to meet scope, schedule, and budget requirements.
- Ensure quality assurance through design reviews, validations, and compliance with company standards.
- Support tendering activities, including documentation, bid queries, and evaluation processes.
- Assist during construction/supervision phase, including handling RFIs and resolving design issues.
- Monitor project risks, scope changes, and contractual matters in coordination with relevant teams.
- Prepare progress reports, manage invoicing inputs, and escalate key issues to senior management.
Education Qualification
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Architecture.
- Master’s Degree in Engineering, Architecture, or Business Administration (preferred).
Skills & Certification
- Strong understanding of project management methodologies, tools, and best practices.
- Proficiency in project planning, scheduling, cost control, and risk management.
- Experience in managing multidisciplinary design projects (Buildings preferred).
- Knowledge of design coordination across disciplines (Structural, MEP, etc.).
- Familiarity with QA/QC processes and design review procedures.
- Working knowledge of project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Primavera) and design tools.
- PMP Certification Must
