Responsible for clarifying and overseeing building orders from the contract stage to completion. The Project Manager serves as the central source of information and coordination for customers, sales, and internal employees as projects progress through Chief’s processes. They are accountable for project scope, financial outcome, and customer satisfaction.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Establish and maintain positive relationships with stakeholders.
- Compare quote, contract, drawings, and specifications for discrepancies or incomplete information.
- Maintain and update the engineering work order (golden document) in myProject.
- Process change orders and maintain customer satisfaction, while also protecting Chief’s financial position.
- Serve as primary customer contact from receipt of order until shipment.
- Maintain computer literacy in myProject, IFS and other computer tools available while expanding knowledge of specialty applications.
- Create and maintain contract records and attachments in IFS.
- Process preliminary material requirements for preassembled walk doors, roof curbs, and other buyout items.
- Respond to customer (internal and external) calls or requests in a timely fashion.
- Manage communication between departments and customers regarding project specific needs.
Education:
- High school diploma or GED required
- Associate or bachelor’s degree in construction/design related field preferred
