POSITION DETAILS
Job Purpose
The Project Manager will oversee the planning, design, and execution of metal architectural products projects from start to finish. This includes managing the project timeline, budget, resources, and team members to ensure that project goals are achieved on time and within budget. The Project Manager will work closely with architects, engineers, contractors, and internal stakeholders to ensure that project requirements are met and that quality standards are maintained throughout the project lifecycle.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Develops project plans, schedules, and budgets; manages project timelines to ensure that project goals are achieved within the allocated time frame and budget.
- Coordinates project teams, including engineers, architects, contractors, and internal stakeholders, to ensure that project requirements are met and that quality standards are maintained throughout the project lifecycle.
- Communicates project status, risks, and issues to stakeholders on a regular basis, and develops mitigation plans to address any potential risks or issues.
- Ensures that project documentation is complete and accurate, and that project deliverables meet or exceed customer expectations.
- Manages project changes, including scope changes, and communicates the impacts of these changes to stakeholders.
- Collaborates with the sales team to ensure that customer expectations are aligned with project goals and deliverables.
- Manages project budgets and expenses and works with finance and accounting teams to ensure that project financials are accurate and up to date.
- Continuously evaluates project processes and identify areas for improvement; implements process improvements to increase efficiency and quality.
QUALIFICATIONS
Preferred Qualifications Required:
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in project management with a multi material manufacturing background.
- Knowledge of architectural design, engineering, and construction processes.
- Knowledge of wood, metal, and other materials manufacturing processes.
- Motivated self-starter who takes initiative and is driven to surpass goals.
- Strong written and verbal communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
- Proven ability to manage project budgets and expenses.
- Proficiency in project management software. Smartsheet would be considered an asset.
- Ability to travel as needed to project sites.
Preferred Education Required:
• University bachelor’s degree
Required Skills:
- PMP Certification is an asset.
Physical Requirements:
- The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 4.5 kg and
- occasionally lift and/or move up to 23 kg.
COMPENSATION
- The annual compensation range for this position is $70,000 - $100,000 compensated upon experience.
