General Description
The Project Manager is responsible for overseeing contract administration, cost management, progress verification, job site safety, and material procurement. This role ensures that construction projects are completed efficiently, safely, and within budget while maintaining compliance with industry standards and company policies.
Key Duties
Project Planning & Execution:
- Provide drawings, sketches, change orders, estimates, and RFIs to support construction projects.
- Maintain submittal logs, ensuring thorough and accurate content review.
- Interpret designs, blueprints, and construction documents to resolve issues.
- Identify and document changes to work that deviate from the project scope.
Financial & Contract Administration:
- Assist with procurement, purchase orders, and subcontractor agreements.
- Track job costs, budget reviews, and financial reporting.
- Prepare and maintain job status reports and participate in project meetings.
Field Operations & Compliance:
- Conduct monthly job site inspections to ensure compliance with contract documents.
- Assist in pre-construction planning, including construction methods and scheduling.
- Lead and document schedule coordination meetings.
- Maintain accurate project documentation, including RFIs, change orders, and inspection reports.
- Support company safety policies, procedures, and OSHA compliance.
Communication & Coordination:
- Correspond with owners, subcontractors, engineers, and field teams.
- Work closely with Superintendents and Division Managers to track progress and resolve issues.
- Strive for continuous professional development and leadership growth.
Qualification Requirements
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field preferred.
- 3+ years of experience in construction project management or a related role.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, construction management software, and project tracking systems.
Skills & Competencies:
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to interpret construction plans, contracts, and specifications.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Flexibility to work overtime and weekends as needed.
Physical Demands & Work Environment
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs frequently and up to 150 lbs with assistance.
- Frequent walking on uneven terrain in various weather conditions.
- Office-based with occasional job site visits, exposing employees to dust, noise, heavy equipment, and construction materials.
