Job Description

Position Summary

The Proximity Marketing Manager is responsible for generating leads and increasing local brand awareness through canvassing, home shows, and community events. The primary goal of this role is to create a steady flow of qualified appointments for the sales team. This person will canvass neighborhoods, recruit and manage staff, and plan and oversee events. The ideal candidate is organized, energetic, customer-focused, and capable of leading a team. As the program grows, this role will help develop processes and scale operations while remaining actively involved in day-to-day execution.


Key Responsibilities

Canvassing

  • Develop and execute canvassing strategies
  • Canvass neighborhoods and conduct door-to-door outreach.
  • Recruit, train, and manage a team of canvassers
  • Maintain compliance with all local regulations and company policies regarding canvassing activities.

Event Management

  • Schedule, coordinate, and manage all home shows, trade shows, etc.
  • Research and secure new event opportunities
  • Coordinate event logistics, contracts, registrations, permits, and vendor communications.
  • Attend all events as needed and oversee setup, operation, and teardown.
  • Travel to event locations and arrive early to prepare displays and ensure readiness.
  • Ensure all marketing materials, displays, and promotional items are properly maintained and presented.

Lead Generation & Customer Engagement

  • Answer questions and educate consumers on windows, doors, and related solutions.
  • Demonstrate product displays and explain key features and benefits.
  • Generate qualified leads and schedule in-home consultation appointments using company-provided technology and tablets.
  • Support company sales goals through consistent lead production.

Qualifications

Required

  • 2+ years of experience in field marketing, canvassing, event marketing, lead generation, or related roles.
  • 1+ years of supervisory or team leadership experience.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
  • Comfortable speaking with homeowners and the public.
  • Ability to work flexible schedules as required by events and canvassing activities.
  • Valid driver's license

Preferred

  • Experience in home improvement, remodeling, windows, doors
  • Experience managing home shows, trade shows, or retail marketing events.


Physical Requirements

  • Frequent standing, walking, and outdoor activity.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
  • Frequent travel within the service area to events, neighborhoods, and company locations.

Pay Range

$22 – $26 hourly (DOE) with additional incentive program based on lead procurement and leads closed
