Job Description

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Under the clinical supervision of the Chief Medical Officer, this position will provide psychiatric assessments (completion of Mental Status Exam and associated assessments to determine initial diagnosis and development of an initial treatment plan) and pharmacological management.  The incumbent will ensure all clinical practices are in accordance with current acceptable medical practices as recognized by the Texas Board of Nursing.  The PMHNP will write prescriptions under the PMHNP license prescriptive authority.  This position will provide services to child, adolescent, and adult populations.  The incumbent may determine diagnosis, gather social history information, and determine initial and on-going eligibility for services.  All services will be provided throughout the Center catchment area face to face or through telemedicine.  These services will be provided throughout the Center catchment area face to face or through telemedicine. This position will work under the clinical supervision of the Medical Director and the administrative supervision of the Executive Director.
