Relief Mental Health was founded in February of 2020. Within these 6 years, we have expanded to 12 new offices across Illinois, Wisconsin, New Jersey, and Colorado! We aim to create a new standard for mental health care, offering a continuum of innovative therapeutic interventions and responding to evolving patient needs.
Responsibilities:
Patient Assessment: Conduct thorough psychiatric evaluations, including medical history and mental status examinations
Diagnosis: Assist in diagnosing mental health conditions such as depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, etc.
Treatment Planning: Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in collaboration with supervising psychiatrists
Medication Management: Prescribe and monitor psychotropic medications, ensuring effective management of side effects and patient adherence
Spravato Assessment and Treatments: Conduct thorough evaluations to assess appropriateness for treatment as well as provide thorough education and patient expectations for care. Observation and Monitoring of patient vital signs in office. Ensure patient safety and effective management throughout the treatment process.
IV Ketamine Assessment and Treatments (if applicable): Conduct thorough evaluations to assess appropriateness for treatment as well as provide thorough education and patient expectations for care. Observation and Monitoring of patient vital signs in office. Ensure patient safety and effective management throughout the treatment process
Therapeutic Interventions: Provide psychotherapy and counseling to patients, employing evidence-based techniques
Patient Education: Educate patients and their families about mental health conditions, treatment options available, and self-management strategies
Treatment Modalities: Maintain a thorough and comprehensive understanding of all treatment modalities offered are Relief to ensure individualized care and referrals, when deemed appropriate
Collaboration: Work closely with interdisciplinary teams, including Therapists/, Social Workers, Providers, Clinical Assistants and additional support staff to ensure comprehensive care
Documentation: Maintain accurate and timely patient records, documenting assessments, treatment plans, and progress notes. Complete and sign all treatment notes within 48 hours of the appointment
Crisis Intervention: Respond to psychiatric emergencies and provide crisis intervention as needed
Continuing Education: Stay updated on advancements in psychiatric medicine and maintain required certifications
Work in tandem with the Psychiatrist/TMS Provider to conduct follow ups, motor threshold mapping, and evaluation of new patients for TMS (transcranial magnetic stimulation)
Qualifications:
Master’s or Doctoral degree in Nursing with a specialization in Psychiatric Mental Health
Current state licensure as a Nurse Practitioner and certification as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC)
Prior experience in psychiatric or mental health settings highly preferred
Strong communication, interpersonal, and clinical skills; strong compassion and empathy for patients and their families
Ability to maintain confidentiality and demonstrate professional in all interactions
Knowledge all health care regulations and confidentiality protocols, including HIPAA
Expereince or ability to learn and maintain Electronic Health Record system
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
Effective verbal and written communication skills
Strong organizational, time management, and multitasking abilities
Proficient in all Microsoft Office applications and Google Suite
