ABOUT US

Columbia Ability Alliance is a non-profit organization that enriches individuals and our community through diverse programs, including employment services, specialized job training, life skills training, and social enrichment.


SUMMARY

Columbia Ability Alliance provides janitorial services for businesses in the Tri-Cities during their closed hours of service.  A successful candidate will work independently and be dependable, trustworthy, and have an excellent work ethic.


Responsibilities: 

Restroom cleaning, trash pick-up, office and exam room cleaning, kitchen cleaning, window cleaning, dust mopping and wet mopping, dusting furniture and vacuuming. Other duties will also be assigned, which may include checking restroom supplies, turning off lights, cleaning elevators, folding laundry and compacting trash.

 

Qualifications: Valid current Driver's License. Ability to drive to multiple locations.

 

Experience: 2 years of employment in a janitorial field preferred.

 

Work Schedule: Part-time hours dependent on job site and customer needs. Monday- Friday 

  • Hours and schedule vary depending on customer needs. 


Physical Demands

  • Janitors engage in physical tasks such as lifting, bending, and standing for long periods.
  • They may need to move furniture, equipment, or cleaning supplies, which requires strength and stamina.
  • Regular physical activity is an integral part of their daily routine.
  • Janitors work with various cleaning agents and chemicals.
  • Proper usage of protective gear is essential to minimize exposure to potentially harmful substances to include wearing gloves, masks, and/or other safety measures as necessary.
