Physicians Surgery Center, a state-of-the-art multispecialty surgery center in Jackson, is actively seeking a dynamic and compassionate PRN Receptionist to join our team. If you are a dedicated professional looking for no weekends, holidays, or on-call commitments, we invite you to apply.

Position Overview: We are seeking a dedicated and personable Part Time Front Desk Receptionist to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring a positive experience for our patients from the moment they enter our facility. This position offers the opportunity to work in a supportive and collaborative environment while contributing to the overall success of our center.

Schedule: Tuesday, Thursday and Fridays - 10:00 AM -5:30 PM - This position is fully on‑site and requires daily, in‑person presence.

Responsibilities:

  1. Greet patients and visitors with a friendly and welcoming demeanor.
  2. Answer phone calls, schedule appointments, and assist with inquiries.
  3. Verify patient information, insurance coverage, and collect necessary payments.
  4. Maintain a clean and organized reception area.
  5. Assist with administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and patient records management.
  6. Collaborate with healthcare providers and staff to ensure smooth patient flow.
  7. Follow HIPAA guidelines and maintain patient confidentiality at all times.
  8. Provide excellent customer service and address patient concerns or issues promptly.

Please note: This is an on-site position and does not offer remote or hybrid work options.

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Proven experience in a customer service or administrative role, preferably in a healthcare setting.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Proficient in using computer software for scheduling and data entry.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize tasks, and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Detail-oriented, organized, and reliable.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and insurance processes is beneficial but not required.
  • Longevity in past roles.
