Join our warm and welcoming senior living community as a PT Weekend Activities Assistant! 

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

·         Attending or leading activities to ensure that events go smoothly.

·         Ensures activity supplies are available for scheduled activity.

·         Organizes, initiates, and executes the monthly activity calendar with varied activities.

·         Follows the monthly activity calendar for residents based on the results of the residents’ Social Interest Inventories, varied

          backgrounds, needs, and enjoyment.

·        Honors the residents’ Preferences and Social Interest Inventory.

·        Collaborates with volunteers to expand and supplement the activity program while including the largest number of residents

         possible.

·        Involves resident families, the community, and volunteers in activities to help the resident transition and maintain a satisfying

         well being and positive state of mind.

·        Encourages residents to participate in meaningful activities.

·        Maintains all activity areas in a neat and orderly manner.
 

 

Qualifications and Skills:

·         Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.

·         Ability to speak effectively before residents or coworkers.

·         Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10’s and 100’s.

·         Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume and distance.

·         Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form.

·         Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
