Description

Position Summary

/ Perform inspection of incoming and outgoing products. May conduct testing. Perform audits to verify compliance with policies, procedures, and practices. Identifies corrective action to be taken to resolve issues from audits.  


Job Responsibilities

/ Inspect, test, or measure materials or products being produced. 

/ Read blueprints and specifications. 

/ Measure products with rulers, calipers, gauges, or micrometers. 

/ Document inspection results for QC records. 

/ Accept or reject finished items. 

/ Remove all products and materials that fail to meet specifications. 

/ Discuss inspection results with those responsible for products. 

/ Conducting internal auditing as needed.

/ Report inspection and test data.

/ Other duties as assigned.


Requirements

Qualifications

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

/ Knowledge of broad variety of metals.

/ Extensive knowledge of measurements. 

/ Able to drive forklifts. 

/ Able to use overhead cranes.

/ Knowledge of rigging.


Education and Experience:

/ High School Graduate or equivalent.

/ Minimum 2 years of experience (manufacturing preferred).

Physical Demands:

/ The employee occasionally will be required to reach with hands or arms, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl.

/ The employee must lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
