Position: Quality Improvement Coach
Reports to: Quality Initiative Program Manager
Status: Non-exempt
Position is Remote but we are Looking for someone in the area of Barton, Reno, McPherson, Pratt or surrounding counties
Purpose of Position:
Working in collaboration with organizational leadership, this position is responsible for all aspects of provider support group meetings, including service delivery standards and policies. This position also has a high focus on the foundational components of CCR&R services professional development, coaching/technical assistance and consumer education.
Regional Focus
- Travel Requirements:Frequent travel for on-site coaching, community forums, and recruitment events.
- Regional travel will be based on caseload, up to 10-15%.
- Occasional overnight stays may be required. Lodging and meals provided.
- Company vehicle available when applicable; employees using personal vehicles are eligible for mileage reimbursement.
Duties and Responsibilities
Program Adminstration:
- Provide technical assistance, coaching and facilitate cohort meetings. Technical assistance provider support group meetings must align with the All in For Kansas Kids strategic plan, including CCDF funded services, to provide a comprehensive accreditation package.
Network & Community Collaboration
- Deliver State approved professional development training events to FCC professionals to improve their skills and knowledge. May include partnering with an approved training entity to ensure opportunities are available for providers.
- Complete Cape trainer orientation and submit trainer application and participate in ongoing reviews.
- Ability to facilitate training using a variety of delivery modes (in-person, virtual, and on-site) that support diverse adult learning styles.
Data Accuracy & Reporting
- Maintain accurate records in all required databases and submit reports according to the grant/contract reporting requirements.
- Report assessment results and feedback loops (surveys/evaluations) to measure the effectiveness of recruitment and training activities.
Education & Experience
- Minimum Education: Associate degree or bachelor’s degree in early childhood or a related field.
- Experience: Five (5) years’ experience with an associate's degree or two (2) years’ experience with a bachelor’s degree and a minimum of one year in a child care setting.
- Proven experience working with adults/facilitating adult learning.
- Experience in a nonprofit environment preferred.
- Experience with accreditation is preferred.
Participation in Professional Development
- Complete annual professional development to keep current with best practices and research.
- Attend various Child Care Aware of Kansas team meetings.
- Maintain certifications as required based on program needs.
Special Knowledge & Skills
- Technical: Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; ability to edit and create professional documents/spreadsheets. Familiarity with Survey Monkey, Zoom and other internet communication technology.
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to collaborate with diverse internal and external stakeholders. Experience providing and facilitating group meetings and activities.
- Language: Bilingual skills preferred.
Availability and Work Hours
Employees are expected to:
- Be available and responsive during established core business hours, 8am to 5pm.
- Maintain regular communication with supervisor and team members
- Accurately record working time and attendance in accordance with Company policies.
Virtual Communication and Enagagment
Employees must actively participate in virtual meetings, trainings, and team collaboration using Company approved communication platforms such as Zoom and Microsoft Teams.
Home Office Requirements
Employees are responsible for maintaining:
- A reliable high-speed internet connection
- A secure, quiet, and professional workspace free from excessive distractions
- Any equipment or technology necessary to perform assigned job duties, unless otherwise provided by the Company
Physical & Work Conditions
Ability to:
- Sit/stand for extended periods
- Travel long distances
- Lift materials as applicable
Miscellaneous Requirements
- Maintain strict confidentiality regarding clients, staff, and Board members.
- Valid Kansas driver’s license and willingness to work flexible hours, including possible overnight travel.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including some weekends, evening, and overnight travel.
- Ability to work independently as a self-starter.
