Job Description

Primary Purpose:

The Real Estate Development Analyst is an entry-level position for a recent college graduate seeking a career in commercial real estate development. This role supports both development initiatives and the bank’s facilities portfolio, including corporate and branch locations.

The position plays an integral role in evaluating development opportunities, supporting facility planning and execution, and assisting in the management of real estate assets. Responsibilities include financial analysis, market research, and project coordination across the full lifecycle of development and facilities-related projects. This role provides valuable hands-on exposure to both strategic growth initiatives and day-to-day real estate operations within TowneBank.

Essential Responsibilities:

Development

  • Support and actively participate in the execution of the full real estate development lifecycle, from initial site selection through project delivery
  • Build, maintain, and refine detailed financial models for ground-up development and redevelopment projects
  • Support feasibility studies, due diligence, and site evaluations, including review of zoning, environmental, and infrastructure considerations
  • Conduct market research, including demographic, economic, and competitive analyses
  • Prepare reports, dashboards, and presentation materials for senior leadership
  • Provide regular updates, progress reporting, and presentation support to internal stakeholders

Construction

  • Maintain accurate and organized project documentation, including contracts, permits, meeting notes, and financial reports
  • Collaborate with internal and external partners to assist in the preparation and management of RFPs for construction, renovation, and maintenance projects

Asset Management/Leasing

  • Partner with brokers to identify and evaluate potential leasing opportunities
  • Analyze lease structures and economics, supporting lease negotiations and renewals
  • Conduct site visits and actively support the management of operating assets, including coordination of maintenance and capital improvements
  • Adheres to applicable federal laws, rules, and regulations including those related to Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA).
  • Performs other duties as required or assigned which are reasonably within the scope of the duties in this job classification.

Minimum Required Skills & Competencies:

  • Exceptional financial, analytical, and quantitative skillset
  • Advanced Excel proficiency required, and strong PowerPoint skills expected
  • High level of attention to detail paired with strong organizational discipline
  • Clear, concise, and professional communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Proven ability to manage multiple workstreams and meet deadlines in a high-performance environment
  • Proactive, self-motivated, and intellectually curious with a strong desire to build a career in real estate development
  • Demonstrated ability to clearly and confidently present complex projects, analyses, and strategic recommendations to senior leadership and executive stakeholders

Physical Requirements:
