Responsibilities:
- Verify all received merchandise against invoices, purchase orders (POs), and bills of lading (BOLs).
- Ensure all required receiving paperwork is complete and that products meet company quality standards.
- Maintain full traceability by assigning internal Julian lot numbers to all inbound edible and ready-to-eat ingredients.
- Break down received cases and label every individual component with the appropriate Julian/internal lot code.
- Store products using First In, First Out (FIFO) procedures in all storage areas.
- Properly organize inventory in dry storage, freezers, and designated coolers for meat (Halal and Non-Halal), fish, and produce.
- Lead and supervise the receiving team while maintaining accurate records of all incoming goods.
- Monitor supplier performance, including on-time delivery and compliance with company quality specifications.
- Distribute merchandise internally according to food safety and storage requirements, ensuring all meat and fish deliveries are weighed.
- Follow HACCP and all food safety standards, including FIFO, date marking, proper storage, and completion of receiving documentation, while performing other assigned duties.
Qualifications:
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment with heavy workloads and prolonged standing.
- Capable of lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling materials as required.
- Works effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and committed to quality.
- Comfortable working in hot and cold environments.
- Flexible to work various shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Experience in food industry receiving, storage, and merchandise handling.
- Minimum of 3 years of leadership or supervisory experience.
- Ability to work long hours on foot and in environments with varying temperatures.
- Flexibility to work different shifts (including nights, weekends, and holidays) based on business needs.
