Job Description

Description

The Receptionist & Outreach Specialist role is responsible for all duties related to registration, reception, real-time coordination of services, and ECM outreach. The Receptionist & Outreach Specialist promotes positive communications with all departments within the clinic and affiliated agencies including but not limited to internal departments and insurance companies. This position works alongside internal ECM team including case managers, providers, and administrators to provide continuity and initiation of care for ECM patients.


Requirements

  • Initial contact for all in-person patient services, welcomes patients in warm and friendly manner
  • Possess excellent communication skills to relate with diverse populations
  • Responsible for processing registration of all patients and verifying all registration information for accuracy 
  • Responsible for checking-in and directing visitors to the appropriate areas of the clinic
  • Answers incoming calls, screens and directs calls
  • Receives and processes ECM referrals from Premier’s different departments and affiliations
  • Conduct outreach telephonically, electronically and in-person aimed at enrolling individuals who are eligible for the ECM program
  • Partners with Kern Health Systems to promote effective and timely coordination of care
  • Responds to providers, patients, and staff inquiries in a professional and timely manner
  • Have a thorough knowledge of Premier departmental resources and ability to coordinate patients’ services with different departments
  • Maintains and documents contact with patients
  • Organizes and maintains departmental files, records
  • A willingness to work effectively in a team  
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned
  • Adheres to all company policies and procedures relative to employment and job responsibilities


Employment Standards: 

  • Education: High School Diploma from an accredited school or equivalent required. 
  • Experience: Two (2) or more years of recent experience in a customer service-related field. Strong telephone and communication skills required. Preferred experience in a patient centered medical environment.
