Lab Receptionist

We are seeking a patient-focused individual to join our Lab Department as a full-time Receptionist at our Mebane Kernodle Clinic location. In this role, you will help ensure the efficient flow of patients throughout the Lab by greeting patients, calling them into the Lab, and directing them to the appropriate phlebotomy station. You will also receive and process patient specimen drop-offs, verifying each patient's name and date of birth to ensure accuracy. Additional responsibilities include stocking phlebotomy stations, obtaining laboratory orders from nursing staff and providers, assisting with patient transport as needed, and providing administrative support to help maintain an organized and efficient laboratory environment.
Experience preferred, but not required. EPIC experience is required. Schedule would be Monday thru Friday, 40 hours.

- Manages flow of patients in and out of the Lab.

- Receives drop off specimens from patients and ensures to confirm patients name and date of birth.
- Uses double identifiers to ensure right patient every time with patients and specimens.
- Answers phone and assists patients and clinical staff with questions and appointment information.
- Contacts patients after their visit for patient experience survey.
