Key Responsibilities:
- Greet patients and visitors with a friendly and professional demeanor.
- Answer phone calls, schedule appointments, and handle patient inquiries with accuracy and efficiency.
- Verify and update patient information, including insurance details and medical histories.
- Check patients in and out, manage appointment scheduling, and coordinate follow-up visits.
- Collect and process payments, co-pays, and handle insurance authorizations as needed.
- Maintain and update patient records and documentation in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
- Assist with administrative tasks, including filing, faxing, and data entry.
- Collaborate with medical staff to ensure smooth patient flow and address any issues that arise.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional certification or training in medical office administration is a plus.
- Previous experience as a receptionist or in a similar customer service role, preferably in a medical or healthcare setting.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a focus on patient-centered care.
