Job Summary:

This position has full authority and responsibility to direct all phases of day-to-day operation at Lake Hotel, Lake Lodge, Grant Village Hotel, Grant Village Campground, Fishing Bridge Campground, Bridge Bay Campground. This position will be involved with off-season planning for these areas as well as in-season management of these hotel properties and campgrounds.

 

The Details:
Position Type: Full-Time, Year-Round
Schedule: Typical schedule is 40 hours, 5 days/per week (may include weekends, evenings, and holidays)

  • Lead and support regional operations teams by providing coaching, development, and strategic leadership to achieve guest service, employee engagement, and financial objectives.
  • Partner with Operations and Human Resources leadership to recruit, hire, train, and develop seasonal and year-round management teams across the region.
  • Drive employee retention and engagement initiatives by reviewing employee feedback, identifying opportunities for improvement, and implementing action plans.
  • Oversee operational performance across multiple properties, ensuring compliance with company policies, guest service standards, National Park Service requirements, and sustainability initiatives.
  • Conduct regular property inspections, operational reviews, and follow-up actions to maintain high standards of service, safety, facility condition, and employee accommodations.
  • Serve as the primary liaison with National Park Service personnel, concession partners, and internal stakeholders, fostering strong relationships and ensuring contract compliance.
  • Manage regional labor and operating expenses through forecasting, budgeting, scheduling, and ongoing financial oversight to meet operational and profitability goals.
  • Provide leadership and support for special projects, capital improvements, operational challenges, and cross-property initiatives while ensuring accurate reporting and effective communication across the region.

Required:

  • Business Management or Hospitality Degree or 3-5 years equivalent experience.
  • Proven leadership, team-building skills, and ability to lead diverse teams.
  • Ability to work within a fast paced and quickly changing environment.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite with advanced knowledge of Excel.
  • This position will be expected to work a variety of hours including mornings, days, evenings, nights (graveyard shifts are possible), weekends, and holidays as necessary. This position may be required to fill in for other management positions on property as needed.
  • This position will be required to be “on call” for evening and nighttime coverage of their property. During these times, Location Management will be required to respond to all guest concerns, and in the absence of on-call HR/Housing Management, respond to any employee issues in Company housing.
  • A valid driver’s license and clean driving record.

Preferred Qualifications (if applicable):

  • Knowledge of company structure and policies helpful.
  • Knowledge of Yellowstone Locations and services provided helpful.

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to lift items up to 30 pounds.
  • Must be able to walk and/or stand a minimum of 30 minutes at a time.
  • Must be able to kneel or lay flat on the ground to inspect beneath beds, kitchen lines, and beneath furniture.
  • Must be able to climb stairs.
  • Must be able to walk on uneven terrain, including icy and snow-covered areas.
  • Must be able to remain seated for periods of 30-120 minutes or longer.
