About the Role

The Regional Vice President of Finance serves as the senior financial leader for Legent Health’s North Region, encompassing a portfolio of surgical hospitals and ambulatory surgery centers across Texas and Florida. This is an individual contributor role with enterprise-wide strategic impact, reporting dually to the Enterprise CFO and the North Regional Vice President of Operations.

The Regional VP of Finance will function as a true financial business partner to regional operations leadership, driving financial performance, ensuring reporting integrity, supporting the private equity value creation thesis, and serving as a key liaison between facility-level operations and enterprise finance. The ideal candidate brings deep healthcare financial acumen, comfort operating within a PE-backed environment, and the ability to influence outcomes without direct line authority.

POSITION’S ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

Financial Performance & Value Creation

  • Own the regional P&L and serve as the financial steward for all facilities in the North Region, driving accountability for revenue, EBITDA, and cash flow targets aligned to the General Atlantic value creation plan.
  • Develop and maintain rolling forecasts, annual budgets, and long-range financial plans for each facility and the region in aggregate.
  • Identify and quantify margin improvement opportunities across case mix optimization, supply chain, labor productivity, and payer contracting.
  • Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) including case volume, revenue per case, cost per case, net revenue realization, DSO, and EBITDA margin by facility and service line.
  • Support due diligence and financial integration for regional acquisition targets, including pro forma modeling and synergy identification.

 Financial Reporting & Close Process

  • Drive the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close process for the North Region, with a target close cycle of 5–10 business days.
  • Prepare and deliver comprehensive monthly financial packages to the Enterprise CFO, regional leadership, and General Atlantic, including variance analysis, bridge commentary, and forward-looking insights.
  • Ensure accuracy and integrity of all financial reporting, including revenue recognition, physician and facility settlements, and intercompany allocations.
  • Collaborate with enterprise accounting to resolve complex accounting matters including net working capital true-ups, purchase accounting, and ASC 606 compliance.

Revenue Cycle & Cash Flow Management

  • Partner with revenue cycle management (RCM) leadership to monitor and improve collection performance, denial management, and payer reimbursement rates across the region.
  • Track and drive improvement in DSO targets (30–35 days), AR aging, and cash conversion cycle.
  • Oversee regional accounts payable processes, vendor management, and working capital optimization.
  • Identify revenue integrity risks and implement controls to prevent revenue leakage.

Operational Finance Partnership

  • Serve as a trusted financial advisor to the North Regional VP of Operations, facility administrators, and physician partners.
  • Participate in regional operations meetings, board meetings, and physician joint venture governance with data-driven financial perspectives.
  • Translate complex financial information into actionable insights for non-financial stakeholders.
  • Support operational leaders in evaluating capital expenditure requests, new service line business cases, and physician recruitment ROI.

Internal Controls, Compliance & Systems

  • Ensure adherence to internal financial controls, SOX-equivalent processes, and PE reporting standards across all regional facilities.
  • Support enterprise initiatives to optimize financial systems (Sage Intacct, HST Pathways, CPSI) and drive automation of manual processes.
  • Identify and implement best-in-class digitization platforms and technology solutions to drive increased efficiency, operational synergies, and shareholder value across the regional portfolio.
  • Participate in external audit support and regulatory compliance as required.

 POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

  • 10+ years of progressive finance and accounting experience, with at least 5 years in healthcare services (ASCs, surgical hospitals, or multi-site healthcare platforms).
  • Demonstrated experience operating within a private equity-backed or sponsor-backed healthcare environment, including familiarity with PE reporting cadences, value creation frameworks, and board-level financial communication.
  • Deep understanding of ASC and surgical hospital financial models, including physician joint venture structures, case-level economics, and payer dynamics.
  • Strong command of revenue cycle management metrics, reimbursement methodologies, and healthcare-specific accounting standards.
  • Proven ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders and drive outcomes in a matrixed organization without direct line authority.
  • Advanced proficiency in financial planning systems, ERP platforms (Sage Intacct preferred), business intelligence tools (Power BI preferred), and Excel-based financial modeling.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, or related field; MBA or CPA strongly preferred.
  • CPA designation or CFA credential
  • Prior experience as a facility or regional financial leader within a multi-site surgical or ASC platform.
  • Experience supporting M&A transactions, integration planning, and post-acquisition financial operations.
  • Familiarity with HST Pathways, CPSI, CPSI, or similar surgical facility management systems.
  • Track record of compressing month-end close timelines and implementing financial process improvements.
  • Experience building, cleaning up, and optimizing Power BI dashboards and reporting environments to deliver accurate, real-time financial and operational insights.
