Job Description

DEPARTMENT: Cameron Health Wound Clinic



JOB TITLE: Registered Nurse



SHIFT: 48 Hours Bi-Weekly, day shift, hours will vary based on office needs



BENEFITS: This is a part-time, benefit eligible position. 




  • Bonus of up to $5,000 available



QUALIFICATIONS



1. Graduate of an accredited nursing program.



2. Current RN license in the State of Indiana. 



3. Has general knowledge of nursing theory and practice.



4. Has been educated in basic pharmacology and the administration of medications.



5. CPR provider certification within 1 month.



JOB SUMMARY



Provides nursing care to wound care patients as directed by the provider utilizing the nursing process. Performs patient access functions.



ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS AND PERFORMANCE STANDARDS



1. Exemplifies good customer service.



2. Regular reliable attendance.



3. Effectively communicates and gets along well with others.



4. Demonstrates proficient use of email.



5. Accomplishes goals set for self and by Office Manager/Supervisor.



6. Completes patient care assignments as directed by provider and clinical protocol. Reports significant findings to the provider.



7. Prepares clinic areas for patient care at the beginning of the shift. Secures clinic areas nightly.



8. Proficient in EPIC including retrieving patient records, entering patient data (e-form) and locking record.



9. Greets patients on arrival.



10. Assists when needed, registering and entering patient data into the Health Information system. Scans insurance card information.



11. Admits patients, taking brief history and vitals.



12. Performs procedure set-up and assists provider as indicated.



13. Discharges patient with prescriptions/instructions and documents in patient’s chart.



14. Maintains adequate medical supply and medication inventory.



15. Schedules surgeries or referrals as ordered, attain prior authorizations for surgeries when needed, provides patient education and instruction information.



16. Familiar with policies in Policystat, including nursing, registration and disaster policies.



17. Performs other duties as assigned by the Office Manager/Supervisor.



Requirements



 



Experience working in a Wound office is a plus.
