DESCRIPTION
Responsible for delivering care to individuals with developmental and/or intellectual disabilities by utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, intervention, implementation, and evaluation. Responsible for medication management and supporting the teaching and delegation of medication administration to authorized direct support professionals in the residential and day program setting. The Registered Nurse will effectively interact with the supported people, the care team, residential staff, day program staff, and health team members while maintaining all standards of professional nursing
Requirements
v Must be at least 18 years of age
v Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
v Valid Illinois state registration as a Registered Nurse.
v Possess a valid driver’s license and automobile insurance.
v At least one year of experience as an RN required, 3 years or more years of RN experience strongly preferred
v Frequent walking and sitting
v Regular reaching, grasping, and standing
v Other physical activities related to an office environment
v Operates general office equipment, including multi-line phone, fax machine, printer, copier, and personal computer
v Ability to lift 50 lbs.
