Responsible for patient care in the Emergency Department including assessment, treatment, discharge planning, education and other duties.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: 

Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with three (3) years Registered Nurse experience within the last 48 months and 12 to 18 months of acute/critical care experience preferred

Current Colorado RN License

Abilities to follow the Hospital policies and procedures

2-5 years previous experience preferred

EDUCATIONAL EXPERIENCE:

Graduate of an accredited nursing program

Current ENPC or PALS or within six months of hire.

TNCC within one year of hire.

Current BLS and ACLS required upon hire.

PHYSICAL/MENTAL REQUIREMENTS:

Continuous movement throughout the hospital

Intermittent bending, kneeling, and squatting

Continuous standing

Ability to lift up to 30% of your body weight

Ability to read and understand English

Ability to communicate verbally and in writing

Ability to interact with physicians, patients, families and staff in a professional

manner in stressful situations.

Ability to maintain matters of a confidential nature

Ability to remain calm in crisis situations

Ability to perform advanced mathematical calculations
