Pay Scale:  $35/hr- $40/hr.



Summary:



Provides nursing services to the Facility Based Crisis centers. Our nurses and med techs are a vital part of our treatment team providing critical support to children ages 6 through 17. 



Essential Duties and Responsibilities:




  • Provides medication evaluation, medication checks, calls in prescriptions, physical health assessment/ screening, communicates with MD/ NP/PA for orders, obtains samples, may provide individual, group therapy and subsequent paperwork.

  • Participates in interdisciplinary treatment planning, case support activities

  • Provides crisis intervention consultation to all members of the team

  • Participates in peer review process

  • All other duties as assigned by supervisor



Special Attributes:  Strong psychosocial, clinical assessment skills. Position requires minimal supervision regarding use of time, able to prioritize work assignments. Must possess ability to communicate effectively with professions and clients/families and  have ability to make sound decisions in emergency situations.



Supervisory Responsibilities:  May provide supervision as directed.

Education and/or Experience:

RN:
Graduation from a four-year state accredited school of nursing and one year of experience in psychiatric nursing; or equivalent combination of education and experience. IDD experience is preferred.
