Job Type: Full-Time | Nights

 

Schedule: 3x12, Nights (6:30p-7a), Rotating Weekends

How you’ll contribute 

A Nurse Graduate (RN) who excels in this role:

 

  • This position is responsible for performing basic nursing care procedures under the direct supervision of the professional licensed nursing staff post graduation from nursing school 

  • Graduate Nurses may engage in the supervised practice of professional nursing for up to 120 calendar days.
  • Performs patient care tasks (baths, make beds, feeding, weights and heights, vital signs, etc.) and thoroughly reporting changes or patient concerns to RN.
  • Documents patient care and monitors patient condition, communicating with care team, physician, patient, and family.
  • Assists patients with activities of daily living, including hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation.
  • Coordinates patient care across disciplines, including transfers, discharges, referrals, and support needs.
  • Provides patient and family education appropriate to age, culture, and circumstances.
  • Advocates for the physical and emotional well-being of patients.
  • Participates in performance improvement and continuing education.
  • Maintains regular and reliable attendance.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

What we’re looking for 

Applicants should possess an Associate’s Degree from an accredited nursing school; BSN Preferred. Additional requirements include:

  • American Heart Assoc. or American Red cross BCLS required

  • American Heart Assoc. ACLS/PALS required within 6 months of employment.

  • Must take boards on first offering.
