Registered Nurse
GENERAL DESCRIPTION: Supervision of medical services and medication administration.
- West Virginia, Ohio, or Pennsylvania licensed Registered Nurse
- At least 2 years previous experience.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Conducts in-service trainings for RNS/WATCH employees to maintain compliance with state licensing agencies.
- Oversees RNS's Hepatitis vaccination program.
- Completion of monthly physician's orders for residential program.
- Review of the Medication Administration Records. Changes MAR's as necessary.
- Prepares, reports, and attends all annual and semi-annual team meetings for residential clients.
- Maintains the facility in accordance with OSHA regulations.
- Trains staff in client-specific topics.
- Selects, trains, and oversees the AMAP program.
- Completes self-med assessments for residential clients on an annual basis.
- Supervises the self-med program implementation.
- Ensures coverage by a Registered Nurse for medication administration purposes.
- Conducts nutritional assessments for residential clients on an annual basis.
14 Communicates with residential clients' physicians, health care providers with prescriptive authority and pharmacies concerning medication issues.
- Monitors, supervises and trains staff who perform medically related tasks.
- Completes annual assessments as required by WAIVER program.
- Other duties as assigned.
