ABOUT THE PERIOP UNIT

Our 1:2 Nurse-to-patient ratio sets the stage to provide top-notch excellent care for our patients and their caregivers. The PERIOP unit averages sixty patients daily and delights in caring for each individual’s healthcare needs from pediatrics to mature adults. Periop team members are versatile and care for patients in all phases of their surgical experience, including pre-op, PACU Phase I, and PACU Phase II. As a technical resource, the staff is prepared to help with ‘all hands-on deck’ at a moment’s notice. With no day being the same as the next, the team relishes in change, and the unique challenges presented, and is satisfied knowing 100% is given every day. Progress is the theme in the unit in both caring for patients and operational excellence. Not only are ideas encouraged but they can be implemented with little time to spare. With the high demands of this team, work/life balance is critical to energizing our team members. Outside of taking care of our patients, our team members enjoy outdoor adventures, baking, and time with family and friends. Periop is a close-knit team with camaraderie that fosters a positive, healthy work environment. Join our team today!
