Job Description

$3500.00 SIGN-ON BONUS

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our care team at St. Johns in Springfield Minnesota. As a Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for providing exceptional care to our geriatric population in a long-term care setting. Your primary focus will be on conducting health assessments, administering medications, and coordinating care plans tailored to each resident's unique needs. You will also be an advocate for our patients, ensuring that they receive the highest level of nursing care possible.

Schedule:

  • 12-hour shifts: 5:00 AM – 5:00 PM
  • 6-week rotation:
    • 5 shifts one pay period
    • 6 shifts the next two pay periods
  • Every third weekend and rotating holidays
  • Opportunity for additional hours as available

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Active Registered Nurse license in the state of MN
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing

Responsibilities:

  • Assessing and monitoring patients' conditions and implementing appropriate nursing interventions
  • Administering medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians
  • Collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement care plans
  • Documenting patient care and progress in electronic medical records
  • Providing emotional support and education to patients and their families

Skills:

As a Registered Nurse, you will utilize your skills in geriatric nursing care, wound care, telemetry, and medical-surgical nursing on a daily basis. You will also use your strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and provide emotional support and education to patients and their families. Additionally, your ability to work independently and as part of a team will be essential in providing exceptional care to our patients.
