Position Overview:
Fundy Veterinarians, Shubenacadie location, is seeking a full-time Registered Veterinary Technician to join our patient care team. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, possess strong interpersonal skills, and enjoy working collaboratively.
Key Responsibilities:
Administer anesthesia and monitor surgical procedures
Perform lab work and provide animal care
Work one evening per week, share Saturday mornings on a rotation.
Maintain accurate records using Avimark computer software
Qualifications:
Knowledgeable in anesthesia protocols, surgical monitoring, lab work, and animal nursing care
Strong teamwork and communication skills
New graduates are welcome; mentoring available from our three experienced Technicians and RVT Hospital Manager.
Work Schedule:
One evening per week
Shared Saturday mornings
Regularly scheduled day off during the week for work/life balance (4 day work week)
Equipment and Facilities:
IDEXX in-house hematology and chemistry machines
Digital radiography and dental radiography
Avimark computer software records system
