Job Description

Residential Production Manager
Full-Time | Company Vehicle + Benefits

About Us
We're a family-owned business that takes real pride in our team, our work, and the community we've built. We're not a big corporation — we're a group of people who genuinely care about each other and the customers we serve. We're growing, and we want the right person to grow with us.

The Role
As our Residential Production Manager, you'll be the operational core of our residential painting division — keeping projects on schedule, crews coordinated, and customers confident from start to finish. This is a hands-on, people-first role where your organizational ability, communication skills, and leadership directly shape the customer experience and the health of the business.

What You'll Do

  • Manage and coordinate crews across multiple active residential job sites
  • Ensure jobs are produced at or above gross margin goals
  • Serve as the primary customer contact throughout each project — setting expectations, communicating updates, and resolving any concerns quickly and professionally
  • Assist customers with color selection and help guide their vision
  • Train and manage Job Site Supervisors (JSS) and crew members on production methods, customer service, and job site planning
  • Recruit, hire, train, and develop job site employees and crews
  • Structure and reorganize crews as needed to maximize productivity
  • Coordinate the Rainy Day Plan (RDP) to keep crews productive during weather delays
  • Manage the production schedule using Excel
  • Negotiate project details and timelines with crew leads and subcontractors
  • Collect accounts receivable and maintain basic awareness of job-level financials
  • Conduct regular training and review meetings with all JSS
  • Ensure every job site meets safety standards and setup requirements
  • Establish tentative finish dates and keep projects on track

What We're Looking For

  • High school diploma or GED required; advanced degree, coursework, or trade school a plus
  • 2–3 years of production, operations, or customer-facing experience required
  • Previous supervisory or management experience strongly preferred
  • Industry knowledge (painting, construction, home services) preferred but not required
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills — you're someone people genuinely enjoy working with
  • Excellent written communication and email professionalism
  • Comfortable with basic Excel and general computer/internet use
  • Highly organized, self-motivated, and able to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
  • Patient, calm, and customer-oriented — the steady hand when things get hectic
  • Quality-conscious and detail-oriented
  • Professional appearance, speech, and conduct
  • Unrestricted driver's license, clean driving record, and reliable personal vehicle required for commuting to and from work
  • Bilingual English/Spanish is a significant plus, though not required

What You'll Get

  • Company vehicle and gas card provided for use during work hours
  • Healthcare benefits
  • 401(k) with employer match after one year of employment
  • A role where your contributions are visible, valued, and appreciated
  • A tight-knit, family-oriented team that has your back

If you're a driven, people-first professional who thrives in a fast-moving environment and wants to be part of a company that genuinely invests in its people — we want to hear from you.
