Dead Letter is a new restaurant concept from the girl & the fig, located on the Sonoma Square. We are currently hiring Servers to join our opening team.

About the Role
We are seeking team members for front-of-house positions who take pride in their work and enjoy being part of a collaborative service team. These roles are essential to daily operations and focus on providing a consistent, welcoming guest experience in a fast-paced environment. Ideal candidates are dependable, team-oriented, and committed to thoughtful, attentive service.
Pay & Schedule
- $18.47/hour + tips
- Full-time and part-time positions available
- PM availability Wednesday through Sunday
What You’ll Be Doing
You’ll be responsible for both guest interaction and service execution throughout each shift, including:
- Greeting guests and introducing menu offerings
- Explaining menu items, specials, and any updates or changes
- Making thoughtful food and beverage recommendations
- Taking and entering orders accurately using the POS system
- Delivering food and beverages in a timely manner
- Monitoring guest satisfaction and responding to requests promptly
- Processing payments and closing out checks
- Maintaining clean and organized service areas
- Supporting team members to ensure smooth service flow
Required Experience & Skills
- Previous experience as a server in a full-service or fine dining restaurant
- Knowledge of food, wine, and beverage service
- Strong communication and guest service skills
- Ability to multitask and stay organized during busy service periods
- Professional and team-oriented mindset
Certifications
- California Food Handler Certification (required or ability to obtain)
- Responsible Beverage Service (RBS) Certification (required or ability to obtain)
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand for extended periods (majority of shift)
- Ability to lift up to 40 lbs
- Ability to bend, reach, and carry trays as needed
