Description

The Retail Associate plays a key role in delivering a positive shopping experience while supporting Goodwill of KYOWVA’s mission. This position assists with customer service, merchandise processing, stocking, and maintaining a clean, organized store environment. Retail Associates engage with customers and donors in a friendly, respectful manner while helping generate revenue that supports job training and employment services in our communities.

Education & Experience
High school diploma or GED preferred
One to three months of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience

Summary
What a Day Might Look Like
Assisting customers through friendly service, product knowledge, and suggestive selling
Answering questions about merchandise location, pricing, and use
Obtaining merchandise requested by customers or assisting with selected items
Stocking shelves, counters, and tables with merchandise
Setting up and arranging displays to promote sales
Processing goods for placement in the store
Rotating stock and assisting with inventory and pull schedules
Totaling purchases, accepting payment, and making correct change
Wrapping or bagging merchandise for customers
Maintaining cleanliness of sales floor, work areas, entrances, and donation doors
Sweeping, vacuuming, dusting, and mopping store areas as needed
Assisting with hands-on training for clients assigned to the store
Performing other duties as assigned to support store operations
