SUMMARY
We are seeking a Retail Golf Shop Assistant to enhance the golf experience for the membership and their guests. This position is responsible for assisting our Merchandise Manager in the day-to-day Golf Shop operation with a primary focus on providing exceptional service to the members and their guests. The Retail Golf Shop Assistant is a part-time position that will work no more than 30 hours a week.
HOURS/DAYS
The anticipated schedule is a 4-day work week with an average of about 30 hours a week. The ability to work weekends are a necessity to this position.
Requirements
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES includes the following:
· Greet all members and guests upon arrival in the Golf Shop with a smile and offer them assistance.
· Provide exceptional service and hospitality to all members and guests.
· Assist the Merchandise Manager with inventory, merchandise display, meeting and communicating with sales reps, and keeping the Golf Shop neat and clean.
· Day-to-day operation of the Golf Shop desk, answering the phone, and accurate message taking.
· Communicate messages and information to fellow team members.
· To have a good working knowledge of our point-of-sale system.
· Report to work as assigned neatly dressed and in accordance with Club uniform, grooming and dress policies.
· Perform all other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
· Must be a team player, service oriented, personable, and enjoy interacting with people.
· High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
· Prior work experience at a Private Club, Retail, or Assistant/Office Duties is preferred but not mandatory.
· Must possess excellent interpersonal communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with members and guests at all times.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT
· While performing the duties of this job, this position is regularly required to stand and walk.
· This position must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and occasionally lift and/or move up to 30 pounds.
· Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust/focus.
