Body Fabrication Intern

POSITION SUMMARY

The Body Fabrication Intern is responsible for the aluminum metal fabrication of multiple components of the fire apparatus’ body. They will precisely measure all dimensions and ensure they are positioned correctly. They must be able to read and follow blueprints/specifications to complete objectives. A Body Fabrication Intern welds, sands, cuts, and bolts materials to build the body of the fire apparatus.

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

The scope and duties of a given position may change or be temporarily altered based on the business needs of Rosenbauer. 

 

  1. Fabricates the aluminum body on the fire apparatus.
  2. Precisely measures all dimensions and ensures they are positioned correctly.
  3. Reads and follows blueprints and specifications to complete objectives.
  4. Welds, sands, cuts, and bolts materials to build the body of the fire apparatus. 
  5. Checks the work of the blueprints and specifications to ensure that it will result in a workable product.
  6. Performs other duties and responsibilities as required by management to meet the needs of the organization and our members.

 

Tools to be utilized:

Hand tools, power tools, grinders, cut off wheels, saw, shear, welders, and tape measure.
