Job Description:
The RN Critical Care Clinical Educator is responsible for the mentorship and coaching of critical care nursing staff. This position serves as a clinical expert, role model, and resource in a designated critical care practice area. Works under general supervision as a registered nurse with specialized knowledge and skill in specific critical care areas of nursing and functions in a multifaceted role including clinical practice, educator, and consultant. Exhibits a high degree of professional competence in applying the nursing process. The RN Critical Care Clinical Educator addresses and meets the specific needs of the patient populations served.
Position Requirements:
EDUCATION: Bachelor's Degree in Nursing required (Master's preferred).
EXPERIENCE: Minimum three years critical care experience at the bedside required. Five years of inpatient clinical experience in area or equivalent experience preferred.
CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSES: Current registered nursing (RN) license or Temporary permit from the State of NE required. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) required. Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) from the AHA required. Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) from the AHA required. Critical Care Certification preferred.
