Job Description



  • JOB RELATIONSHIPS




    • Responsible to Director of Radiation Oncology.





  • DEFINITION OF POSITION




    • A registered nurse who functions in a collaborative role with the Radiation Oncology Team and is responsible for patient care, teaching, counseling and supportive functions to assist the patient and family to cope with and adjust to the diagnosis and treatment of cancer.





  • QUALIFICATIONS




    • Professional




      • Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing



      • Current license to practice as an RN in North Carolina



      • Current BLS Healthcare Provider Certification



      • Baccalaureate degree in nursing preferred



      • Two years of general medical/surgical nursing experience



      • One year of oncology nursing experience
