Blue Seal/KENT Nutrition, a member of the KENT WORLDWIDE family of companies has an exciting opportunity to join their team as a Robot Arm Operator in Arcade, NY! The Robot Arm Operator is responsible for the operation of the automatic palletizer and wrap machine.
This is a 2nd shift opportunity with a schedule of 3:00 p.m. - 11:30 p.m.

PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Report any factors that may influence the quality and safety of the finished feed and ingredients to the immediate supervisor.
• The safe, efficient functioning of the automatic palletizer and wrap machine – making any necessary adjustments to ensure quality stacking.
• Inspect empty pallets to ensure they are of good quality.
• Performing daily Metal Detect checks and weigh checks to ensure equipment is working properly.
• Troubleshooting operational issues following all safety protocols.
• The organization and cleanliness of the east alleyway of the East Warehouse.
• Monitoring, organizing, and recording of ripped bags, “off weights” and metal reject.
• Checking weights and date codes on the products being packed.
• Organizing rework and cooperating with the Shift Support Person in accessing rework.
• Compacting of cardboard as time permits.
• All other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Knowledge of OSHA safety requirements.
• Good communication skills.
• Understanding of feed manufacturing and willingness to learn and grow.
• Understanding of feed mill equipment and layout.
• Thorough understanding of cGMP’s.
• Knowledge of HACCP Feed & Food Safety Plan.
• Knowledge of FSMA.
• Ability to lift a minimum of 55 lbs. from floor to working height as job requires.
• Ability to work in dust and adverse weather conditions and temperatures.
• Must pass pre-employment drug screen and physical.

WAGE:

• Starting at $19.50 an hour.
