POSITION OVERVIEW



The Housekeeping Room Attendant is responsible for the cleanliness of guest rooms in accordance with hotel standards. They ensure that sufficient rooms are clean and ready for sale and clean occupied guest rooms. This role is directly linked to cleanliness in the hotel and allows the housekeeping attendant to create a clean, welcoming environment while looking after guests during their stay.



DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES




  • Maintain complete knowledge of and comply with all departmental policies, service procedures, and standards.

  • Maintain positive guest and client relations at all times.

  • Collaborate with all departments and communicate through GXP.

  • Resolve guest complaints to ensure guest satisfaction.

  • Monitor and maintain cleanliness, sanitation, and organization of assigned work areas.

  • Clean and replenish guest bedroom and bathroom areas according to hotel standards.

  • Complete accurately, and in a timely manner, any assigned work.

  • Maintain cleanliness levels in public areas of the hotel including guest hallways and housekeeping closets.

  • Report any defects to the corresponding areas responsible.

  • Use all chemicals in accordance with OSHA regulations and hotel requirements.

  • Maintain complete knowledge of equipment and use only as intended.

  • Maintain a professional and personable appearance at all times, according to hotel standards.

  • Successfully achieve the hotel’s core values of ownership, innovation, craft, respect, and community.

  • All other duties as requested.
