Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Administer safety programs and documentation for all safety functions.
- Update safety platforms with safety data and generate reports for the Safety Department.
- Deliver real-time coaching and constructive feedback to employees regarding safe work practices and performance expectations.
- Support field leadership in applying company safety expectations, procedures, and accountability standards consistently across job sites.
- Build positive working relationships with field personnel to encourage proactive participation in safety initiatives and training programs.
- Collaborate with departments to ensure compliance with company standards.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives by identifying gaps and recommending solutions.
- Document and organize field observations, meeting minutes, and opportunities for improvement for the Safety Director.
- Generate the Weekly Safety Update for Safety Director review and company distribution.
- Modify and propose modifications for safety and training platforms as necessary.
- Manage training recordkeeping and accountability for the organization.
- Organize and optimize record storage in established databases, such as the company's shared drive, and in appropriate spreadsheets.
- Develop and deploy materials and resources to educate the workforce and raise awareness of procedures and best practices.
- Gather feedback from field personnel on training delivery and establish cyclic communication procedures.
- Update and manage employee training records, ensuring all certifications, stickers, and cards are up to date and accessible.
- Communicate regularly with all departments to build strong relationships and uphold Bali’s reputation for exceeding industry standards.
- Establish procedures and mechanisms to continuously improve the organization's safe practices and leading indicators.
- Document audit findings, corrective actions, employee coaching, and follow-up activities.
- Monitor completion of corrective actions and communicate unresolved issues to the Safety Director.
- Support project teams with the implementation of approved safety plans and field-level compliance activities.
- Take thorough notes at department meetings and prepare clear, time-bound minutes, with appropriate or designated champions for each task.
- Analyze training data and incident trends to identify recurring risks or emerging issues; report findings and recommendations to the Safety Director.
- Provide feedback and recommendations to enhance Bali’s Safety Policies, Procedures, and overall program effectiveness.
- Communicate lessons learned and reinforce preventive measures with field personnel.
- Perform additional duties and special projects, as assigned, to support organizational safety and training goals.
Experience, Education & Skills
- Associate’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in safety management and training within the construction industry.
- Ability to develop and deliver safety presentations and reports.
- Proficient with Microsoft Applications
- Ability to travel up to 20% of the time
- Working knowledge of construction industry norms
