Position Summary:
Responsible for meeting or exceeding annual sales targets for Warn Industries products in the assigned region (DETROIT, MI) through market development and growth of channel and customer relationships.
Essential Functions:
- Responsible for ensuring that competent service and support is readily available for any Warn customer within the assigned territory and/or region.
- Annually develops and executes a sales plan for the assigned region in support of the corporate
annual operating plan and the company 3-year strategic plan.
- Manages assigned expense budgets for the region along with accurately forecasting expenses
on a monthly basis.
- Accurately forecasts annual, quarterly, and monthly sales for assigned territory.
- Provides quarterly presentations on territory/customer performance and results.
- Creates and presents comprehensive product training to all customers.
- Performs data analysis and strategic planning for customer performance measures.
- Works closely with Director of Sales in developing customer account strategies and tactics.
- Provides data, analysis and field input relative to competitive products, sales activities,
promotions, new product opportunities and the overall business environment within the assigned region.
- Reviews & recommends sales opportunities in conjunction with the Director of Sales and manages risks in sales territory.
- May manage independent representatives as required by the company.
- Maintains and updates all customer information in CRM. Actively supports CRM account
Required Education and/or Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university is required.
- Five to eight years’ experience in sales and marketing management, preferably with an automotive, powersports or technical consumer products company.
Required Qualifications:
- Ability to travel extensively to customer locations, trade shows or events within assigned territory by car and/or airplane (up to 50%).
- Experience with two-tier distribution, channel pricing, channel management, contract management and resolution of regular customer service issues.
- Must be able to effectively manage multiple regional and/or national level accounts.
- Must be able to understand customer contracts and provide guidance in reaching mutual agreements for both companies.
- Experience in creating and implementing business development strategies for customers within
assigned territory. That results in business growth and depth of product.
- Experience in creating and implementing long-term strategic business plans within assigned
territory. That resulted in increased sales and profit.
- Ability to develop strategic business relationships with all levels of personnel within assigned
customer base.
- Ability to create & implement yearly sales plans specific to assigned channel and customer base.
- Possesses a comprehensive understanding of Warn’s product line relative to the channel, including minimal field experience using product.
- Proficient in managing yearly financial budget including travel, show, co-op, and related business expenses.
- Is capable, as needed, to participate in project and/or product management activities and effectively coordinate the process with customers.
- Provides mentoring to junior sales team members and is able to effectively communicate with all departments within Warn.
- Proficient in all Warn systems relative to position (JDE, BI, CRM, etc.).
- Demonstrated ability in product presentation and technical selling.
- Excellent skills in interpersonal relationships, communication, and teamwork.
- Must possess strong written and oral communication skills.
- Must be able to work independently and possess a high level of self-motivation.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Ability to work collaboratively and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers, customers, and visitors.
- Proven customer service skills at an outstanding level in a professional environment such as sales.
- Accountable for Sarbanes-Oxley compliance in assigned area. Responsible for design and
- operating effectiveness of internal controls, including a self-assessment and report to management.
- Accountable for developing and monitoring processes and practices necessary for legal and ethical compliance in assigned area.
- Manages accounts in accordance with the Warn sales policy.
- Solicits sales by all appropriate and ethical means within the assigned region.
Physical Demands:
May require a combination of sitting, standing, and walking daily. May require prolonged standing at trade shows. May require lifting up to 50 pounds at shows/demonstrations with assistance. Requires extensive (40% or more) travel by car or plane.

Mathematical Skills:
Must have basic mathematical skills equivalent to those required under education requirement.

Personal computer, fax machine, copy machine, other office equipment, Microsoft Office,
PowerPoint.
Environment/Atmospheric Conditions:
Must be able to work in an office environment as well as a shop environment as job duties require.
May be exposed to loud operating machinery, cold temperatures, chemicals, and vapors. Must be
able to travel extensively within assigned region.
