Job Description

Who is Scott Technology Center, Scott Data, and Scott Managed Services?

The Scott Technology Center opened in 2002 as a complementary mission of the Peter Kiewit Institute. The Technology Center is comprised of 140,000 square feet of offices, labs, and collaborative space hosting various industry, government, and academic organizations. In 2006, the Scott Data Center began operations. The 110,000 square foot purpose-built data center is Uptime Institute Tier III Certified in both design and construction. In 2022, Scott Managed Services launched in response to the changing data center industry and validated requirements from data center clients. The Scott Technology Center, Data Center, and Managed Services are headquartered in Omaha, Nebraska and continue to expand through strategic partnerships.

 Position Overview:

The Sales Support & Contract Specialist plays a critical role in supporting Scott Data's growth initiatives by coordinating sales activities, managing contract workflows, maintaining marketing and social media presence, and ensuring an exceptional customer experience throughout the sales process.

This position serves as the operational hub of the sales organization, helping shepherd opportunities from initial engagement through contract execution while ensuring accuracy, responsiveness, and attention to detail. The ideal candidate is highly organized, proactive, detail-oriented, and passionate about helping teams execute at a high level.

 Key Responsibilities

1. Sales Coordination and Contract Management – 70%

  • Maintain accurate records within the CRM platform and ensure opportunities are updated consistently.
  • Coordinate proposal development, pricing documentation, customer presentations, and supporting sales materials.
  • Manage the contract lifecycle, including drafting, routing, tracking redlines, coordinating approvals, and ensuring timely execution.
  • Work closely with legal counsel, finance, operations, and technology teams to facilitate contract completion.
  • Maintain customer renewal schedules and proactively identify upcoming contract milestones.
  • Assist with customer onboarding coordination following contract execution.
  • Track and report on sales activity, pipeline progression, and key performance metrics.
  • Ensure all customer documentation is complete, organized, and maintained in accordance with company standards.
  • Support bi-annual business review process. 


Provide secondary support to Sales & Operations team across the following areas:

 2. Marketing and Brand Execution Support – 10%

  • Maintain and manage Scott Data's LinkedIn presence, including content scheduling, engagement monitoring, and audience growth initiatives.
  • Coordinate development of marketing materials, customer success stories, announcements, and promotional content.
  • Support website content updates and ensure information remains accurate and current.
  • Assist with event promotion, trade shows, customer tours, and community engagement initiatives.
  • Work with external vendors and internal stakeholders to support marketing campaigns and branding efforts.
  • Ensure all materials align with Scott Data branding standards and messaging.

3. Customer Experience and Relationship Support – 10%

  • Support customer communications throughout the sales and onboarding process.
  • Coordinate customer tours, meetings, and follow-up activities.
  • Help ensure a seamless experience from prospect engagement through implementation.
  • Serve as a point of contact for administrative sales inquiries and customer requests.
  • Assist in identifying opportunities to improve customer engagement and satisfaction.

 4. Special Projects and Administrative Support – 10%

  • Support strategic initiatives led by the Sales, Operations, and Leadership teams.
  • Assist with market research, competitive analysis, and business development projects.
  • Participate in process improvement efforts that enhance sales efficiency and organizational effectiveness.
  • Take on special projects as assigned by the leadership team.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in sales coordination, contract administration, marketing support, customer success, or related business functions.
  • Associate or Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant experience.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail. 
  • Ability to handle out of cycle requests as needed for successful completion.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment.
  • Strong customer service orientation and professional demeanor.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently while collaborating effectively across teams.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or related field.
  • Experience with CRM systems such as HubSpot, or similar platforms.
  • Experience supporting B2B technology, infrastructure, cloud, telecommunications, data center and/or real estate sales organizations.
  • Familiarity with contract management processes and document workflows.
  • Experience with social media management, particularly LinkedIn.
  • Familiarity with AI platforms, prompts and efficiencies derived from emerging AI capabilities.
