Job Description
Location: Clarkfield, MN

Job Type: Seasonal

General work schedule: Monday through Friday, and weekends.  Seasonal hours will vary

Classification: Hourly Non-Exempt

Reports to: Grain Location Manager


JOB SUMMARY:

The primary responsibility of this position is to work closely with customers and other employees to weigh incoming trucks and assist with the grain elevator operations and ensure all trucks are properly loaded and unloaded.


ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Responsible for weighing trucks as they arrive at location

Communicate the grain and grade to the grain attendants on each load

Communicate and works closely with the Location Manager to ensure day-to-day grain activities run efficiently

Provide a high level of customer service by displaying courteous, helpful, and knowledgeable interactions with our patrons

Partner with Grain Accounting for accurate and efficient accounting of grain

Contact customers regularly informing them of dumping hours, potential dumping delays, and market opportunities

Keep grain room, scale area, scale, and grading equipment clean and in optimum working condition

Monitor equipment, operates control systems, processes samples, and utilizes computer system to input and record data as necessary

Adhere to all safety regulations, requirements, policies and procedures, including OSHA regulations, the vehicle policy, fleet safety program, and DOT regulations

Perform other duties as assigned


QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS, ABILITIES:

High school education or equivalent preferred

Must be 18 years of age

Must be eligible to legally work in the United States

English Proficiency

Prolonged periods of using a telephone

Demonstrate initiative to work independently while flexible enough to work in a team setting

Ability to provide excellent customer services using a professional image always

Ability to maintain a positive and respectful attitude

Detail oriented and attention to detail

Exceptional computer literacy and experience preferred.

Ability to work overtime, weekends, and holidays as needed

Ability to effectively communicate with customers and exchange accurate information

Ability to communicate over the phone and in-person with customers

Occasionally lift/move 60 pounds  

Frequently work around grain and grain dust
