About the Role

We are currently seeking a Unarmed Security Guard to provide a safe, calm, and professional security presence within an educational environment in Summerville, SC. This role is critical in maintaining a secure campus while interacting respectfully with students, staff, and visitors.

Mandatory Requirements (Non-Negotiable) :

- Active Unarmed Private Security Officer Registration issued by South Carolina Law Enforcement Division (SLED)
- Minimum 18 years of age
- Clean criminal background (must pass background check)
- Legal authorization to work in the U.S.
- Ability to remain calm, professional, and alert in a school environment
- Strong communication and observation skills
- Ability to stand, walk, and patrol for extended periods

Preferred Qualifications

- Prior experience in school security, educational facilities, or youth-focused environments
- Experience in unarmed security, customer service, or access control
- CPR / First Aid certification (a plus, not mandatory)
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus

Key Responsibilities

- Maintain a visible and professional unarmed security presence on campus
- Monitor entrances, exits, and common areas
- Assist with access control and visitor management
- Observe, document, and report incidents as required
- Collaborate with school staff and follow established safety protocols
- Act as a positive, reassuring presence for students and faculty

Important Notes

- This is a non-armed position
- Candidates must already hold a valid SLED Unarmed registration
