Nature of Work
- operates guard booth and security gate and will be responsible for monitoring the traffic of people coming and going on campus for both McDowell High School and West McDowell Middle School;
- exercises vigilance at all times; notes/reports the conduct of any suspicious person(s);
- monitors security cameras;
- alerts/assists police and emergency response team with fires, disasters, accidents or any similar events (as directed);
- works special events; ability to comply with oral and written instructions;
- compose/complete basic reports; detect situations imperiling life, safety and property;
- perform safety and security while sitting, standing and walking;
- effective and excellent communication skills and the ability to operate two-way radios and telephones;
- and any other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
Preferrably one year experience in security.
