Delaware North Gaming is searching for full-time Backside Security Guards to join our team at Southland Casino in West Memphis, Arkansas. As Backside Security team members, you will work under the Security Manager, maintaining a safe and secure environment for guests and team members, in accordance with West Virginia Gaming Commission and applicable operational standards. Unit Description:

Southland Casino Hotel, owned and operated by Delaware North, features more than 2200 slot machines, live blackjack, craps, and roulette tables, simulcast wagering, and sportsbook. Our new hotel features 300 luxurious rooms and suites. Southland is located in West Memphis, Arkansas, only a short drive from downtown Memphis, Tennessee.



Responsibilities:
  • Enforce rules and regulations of the local gaming commission
  • Adhere to all unit and company alcohol service policies and procedures
  • Report any incidents, following all departmental and organizational policies and procedures, and report any procedural violations and illegal activity
  • Fill out departmental log forms, verifying all paperwork is complete and turned in at the conclusion of shifts
  • Process guest complaints, using active listening skills to control difficult situations, and communicate with guests sensitively and with care
  • Operate Motor Vehicle when necessary


Qualifications:
  • No high school diploma or GED required
  • Able to be licensed by state gaming commission
  • Highly motivated and takes initiative
  • Team-oriented; ability to work effectively with others
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Hold and maintain a valid driver’s license, pass a motor vehicle record check, and drug test
  • Operate a motor vehicle when necessary


Physical Requirements:
  • Frequent standing, walking, bending, climbing, stooping, lifting, reaching, and pushing, with strong manual dexterity and the ability to lift and carry up to 35 lbs. You may also occasionally required to sit for periods of time
  • Visual awareness, sufficient to identify potential security violations
  • Hearing ability sufficient to respond to the spoken voice, audible alarms and two-way radios
  • Exposure to all weather conditions
