Duties
Independently performs, access control for pedestrians and vehicles utilizing standard operating procedures, written orders and regulatory requirement as a guide to access determination for a wide range of unique circumstances,Authenticates identification through use of electronic means such as the Defense Information System for Security Web application (DISS).,Serves as the initial point of contact for the installation’s visitors which may include foreign nationals, government agents, elective officials, media and Very Important Persons (VIP).,Reports suspicious activities, unauthorized entry, fires, medical emergencies, criminal acts or other hazards.,Responsible for performing and resolving a full range of both standard procedural and non-recurring/unusual visitor access assignments.

To qualify based on your experience, your resume must describe at least one year of experience which prepared you to do the work in this job. Specialized experience: One year of specialized experience which includes the protection of property against such hazards as fire, theft, damage, accident, or trespass; or maintaining order and protecting life; experience with operating requirements, methods, and procedures to control access to highly sensitive national defense materials and systems. Experience with maintenance of assigned weapons and related equipment. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-05).
