Job Description

POSITION SUMMARY: Strong accounting expertise with the ability to support complex accounting matters, complemented by proficiency in financial systems and advanced spreadsheet tools.

Essential Duties: (including but not limited to)

  • Provide support (approximately 20% of time) for the internal audit department
  • Assist with the preparation of annual and quarterly regulatory filings
  • Take ownership of balance sheet accounts, with a focus on more complex areas and enhancing reconciliation processes
  • Cross-training and support of the following areas; monthly close activities, investment accounting, employee benefits reconciliations and taxes
  • Play a leading role in the company’s future ERP implementation
  • Support FP&A initiatives and enhanced financial analysis
  • Review, enhance and document internal controls and related processes
  • Finance team resource for internal projects and strategic initiatives. 
  • Develop finance/accounting related processes for new lines of business
  • Other duties as assigned by Manager

Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance with 3-5+ years experience. CPA preferred.
  • Proficiency in Accounting software with the ability to thoroughly learn internal systems.
  • Demonstrated intellectual curiosity and a passion for continuous learning and process improvement
  • Thrives on working as part of a team to develop and implement project plans.
