Job Description
Hanes Companies in Winston Salem, NC is seeking a Senior Accountant. Hanes is a division of Leggett & Platt Inc. (NYSE: LEG) and has over 50 locations in North America. The Senior Accountant is responsible for the execution and integrity of core accounting processes, including month-end close, reconciliations, and general ledger activity. This role ensures accurate, controlled, and GAAP-compliant financial reporting while supporting audits and driving continuous process improvement.

 Key Responsibilities

  • Execute month-end close with accuracy and timeliness
  • Maintain and analyze general ledger activity, including journal entries
  • Prepare and review balance sheet reconciliations with proper support
  • Ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP and internal policies
  • Support internal and external audits, including documentation preparation
  • Maintain strong internal controls over financial reporting
  • Identify and resolve discrepancies to improve data accuracy
  • Partner cross-functionally to improve data quality
  • Drive continuous improvements in accounting processes and tools

Qualifications
