Duties/Responsibilities:

• • Oversee the preparation of periodic financial statements.

• • Ensures that financial reports comply with generally accepted accounting principles or financial reporting standards.

• • Assists external auditors and provides required statements and information for the annual audits.

• • Reviews budget reports and assists other departments to prepare annual budgets.

• • Ensures compliance with local, state, and federal government requirements.

• • Establishes internal controls and guidelines for accounting transactions and budget preparation.

• • Maintains a documented system of accounting policies and procedures.

• • Identifies and recommends updates to accounting processes and procedures.

• • Performs other related duties as necessary or assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities:

• • Excellent management and supervisory skills.

• • Excellent organizational and time management skills.

• • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

• • Excellent communication and customer relations skills.

• • Work effectively as an individual and in a team environment.

• • Proficient use of personal computers, possess practical knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite including Excel and Word.

• • Able to travel as needed.

Education and Experience:

• • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or business administration required.

• • Five years or more of related experience required.

• • CPA and/or CMA designation preferred.

Physical Requirements:

• • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

• • Must be able to lift to 15 pounds at times.
