Senior Accountant
Position Summary
The Senior Accountant position spans the monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial close processes for the US entity and four subsidiaries. This role is responsible for ensuring data integrity, driving accurate financial reporting, maintaining intercompany transactions, and ensuring strict compliance with US GAAP. The ideal candidate brings strong analytical capabilities, meticulous attention to detail, and experience navigating multi-entity corporate structures.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Close & Reporting
- Execute full cycle monthly, quarterly, and year-end closing processes for US entity and four subsidiaries.
- Prepare journal entries and maintain the general ledger with high accuracy.
- Generate monthly financial statements and management reports.
- Perform profit and loss (P&L) variance analyses to explain financial fluctuations.
- Review and reconcile balance sheet accounts to ensure audit readiness.
Intercompany & Treasury
- Manage the creation, distribution, and reconciliation of intercompany invoices.
- Track and account for intercompany loans receivable and payable across entities.
Audit & Compliance
- Facilitate external audits by preparing required schedules, workflows, and documentation.
- Enforce strict compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Maintain robust internal controls to safeguard financial data integrity.
Analytics & Advisory
- Deliver ad-hoc financial analysis and data modeling to support strategic business decisions.
- Identify and implement process improvements to streamline accounting workflows.
Education & Experience
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required (CPA or CPA candidate preferred).
- Experience: 5+ years of progressive professional accounting experience.
- Structure: Proven experience working with multi-entity or subsidiary corporate structures.
Technical Skills
- ERP Systems: Enterprise-level accounting software experience (Oracle Fusion preferred; QuickBooks a plus).
- Software: Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel (VLOOKUPs, pivot tables, advanced formulas).
